Graphic Novel Focus at Book Expo Australia
Julie Ditrich, in conjunction with Comics Mastermind™, is proud to partner with Book Expo Australia (BEA) to showcase Australian comics and graphic novels to mainstream publishers, booksellers and readers.BEA is a dedicated event for national and international publishers and authors to meet and interact with avid book lovers. The Expo will be held on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October at the The Pavillion, Rosehill Racecourse, James Ruse Drive, Rosehill, Sydney, NSW.
Comics Mastermind™ will have a booth, which will be hosting a talented group of Australian comics creators, and Julie has also organised several panels and workshop sessions. These include the “Comics Literacy: The Value of Comics as a Reading Experience” panel, which Julie will be moderating; the “Counter Sales – Crossing the Floor from Pop Culture to Literary Culture: How to Sell Graphic Novels in Bookshops” panel, as well as the “A Comics Taste Test” workshop (to be held on both Saturday and Sunday), which Julie will be presenting.
