This Privacy and Spam Policy governs the use and disclosure by Julie Ditrich of her subscribers’ and buyers’ personal information.

I (Julie) uphold the spirit, philosophy and integrity of permission based marketing principles so will only communicate with users who have opted in to the ezine, emails, who have hired me to provide professional services, or who have purchased publications.

Why do I collect your details?

I collect the contact details of subscribers and purchasers in order to distribute the Passwords ezine, as well as other relevant information. The database allows me to send you news about my publications, services, subscriber specials, competitions and more.

How do I collect your details?

I collect your details directly from you when you opt-in via the ezine subscription buttons on this website, from an opt-in check box on my satellite websites and sales landing pages, from a hand-written subscription form at events, when you purchase a book or when you hire me. I do not source the information from databases or directories or from third parties. Rather, you are given the choice about whether or not to subscribe and unsubscribe.

Who has access to your details?

When you subscribe you can be assured that your contact details remain private. I promise I will not sell, rent, trade or share your details with any other third party unless I directly contract out services (such as through a mailing house) that are bound by the same confidentiality criteria.

Contact details of subscribers are stored on a secure network through the ezine service provider, and I am aware and comply with security principles, practices and procedures. I will endeavour to keep your personal information as secure as reasonably possible.

The only exception to the non-disclosure rule where I may be bound by law or for personal safety or security reasons to disclose personal information are in the following circumstances:

• Under compulsion of law, for example if a warrant or court order is received
• To lessen or prevent a serious and imminent injury or threat to an individual’s life or health or for national security reasons
• To you or with your consent
• When I need to aggregate user data to improve our services and events.

Occasionally I provide recommended links to third-party websites, such strategic alliances, sponsors and professional colleagues. Because I do not control the information policies or practices of those third parties, you should review their respective privacy and spam policies to learn more about how they collect and use personally identifiable information in order to determine whether you want to opt-in.

By subscribing to my ezine, you are providing me with direct permission to communicate with you, as you have deliberately opted-in to receive emails from me.

Identity

When you receive ezines or email bulletins from me, I will always clearly and accurately identify myself to you.

Unsubscribe

My ezine features an unsubscribe facility at the bottom of the page. All you need to do is click onto the relevant link and you will be unsubscribed automatically.

I reserve the right to amend this Privacy and Spam Policy at any time while still maintaining the integrity of permission based marketing principles. I will endeavour to inform you of any such changes by publishing the revised policy on this webpage.
